The subject
Photography has the particularity (compared to other mediums) that what you photograph must really happen. This means that the photograph is just as important as the moment that I’m photographing. The documental side of it, the reality, the chaos, no fiction.
Making a new series is the excuse to make something real happen, connect to people, and create an experience for those who appear in my pictures.
The technique
I’m very interested in the sensorial part of how we live, and the digital age has helped in many aspects but it has also made our experiences more sterile: very focused on the visual part of it, but not so much in the touch, the sound or any other sense. Because of this, I’m focused on printing my photographs using alternative processes, which create a very tactile and variable result.
